The Moderator says: In response to the Statement of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem with respect to the multiple attacks on the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza on Sunday 17 August, we stand in solidarity with the staff of the Hospital and pray for them at this time that they might continue ‘Christ's compassionate healing ministry'.

We pray:

God of love,
Bless those who share with Christ
in the ministry of healing:
doctors, surgeons and nurses
and all who sustain the life of a hospital.
We especially pray for the work of the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza
and for all the hospitals in that torn land.
Even in the midst of darkness, may the light of your presence be known,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
