Ministries Pathways Manager - Faith Action

  • Title: Ministries Pathways Manager - Faith Action
  • Salary: £50,584 - £55,965 per annum
  • Location: Edinburgh with hybrid working
  • Hours: 35 hours per week

Overview

As a member of the Faith Action team you will have oversight of the development of three key areas of development: the Apprenticeship Route, Ascend and Church of Scotland Learning.

These areas are of huge importance to the Church as we embed them into our ways of working focusing on the future needs of the church and those who serve in it. We seek to support those already serving in one of our nationally trained ministries and those whose calling is in another area of service, always ensuring that we provide new and exploratory ways in which people can fulfil their call and commitment within the priesthood of all believers.

As these are key areas of responsibility you will bring a strategic depth and evaluation that will ensure and encourage their continuous growth and development, bringing new pathways of training to enable the growth of discipleship for the whole Church through the Apprenticeship Route and Church of Scotland Learning whilst ensuring that Ascend continues to provide the broader pastoral and developmental support for those in the nationally trained ministries.

You will bring experience, knowledge and passion for this work supported by a background in learning with highly developed skills in stakeholder management, engaging with individuals and groups and initiating and evaluating projects.

The postholder is required to be a committed Christian with a live Church connection which is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in terms of the Equality Act 2010.
